Last Updated: July 2026

Welcome to jjoycpa.com (the “Site”), operated by J Joy CPA PLLC (the “Firm”). By accessing or using this Site, the user agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If the user does not agree with these Terms, please do not use this Site.

1. Purpose of This Website

This Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Content on this Site — including blog articles, guides, checklists, financial calculators, and other resources — is intended to provide general tax and accounting information and does not constitute individualized tax, accounting, financial, or legal advice.

Nothing on this Site should be relied upon as a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified professional who has reviewed specific facts and circumstances. Use of this Site, or submission of a contact form, does not create a client relationship between the user and the Firm.

2. No Engagement Until Signed Agreement

An engagement for professional services with the Firm is only established upon execution of a written engagement letter between the client and the Firm. Submitting an inquiry through a contact form, scheduling a consultation, or exchanging general information through this website does not, by itself, create an accountant-client relationship or engagement.

3. No Guarantee of Results

Tax laws, regulations, and interpretations are complex and subject to change. While the Firm strives to provide accurate and current information, no warranties or guarantees are made regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any content on this Site. Tax outcomes, deductions, credits, and strategies referenced in articles or resources may not apply to a specific situation.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, articles, and downloadable resources — is the property of the Firm unless otherwise noted, and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Content may be viewed and shared for personal, non-commercial use, but may not be reproduced, distributed, or republished without prior written consent from the Firm.

5. Third-Party Links and Tools

This Site may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or calculators that are not owned or controlled by the Firm. The Firm is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party sites. Use of any third-party tools linked from this Site is at the user’s own discretion and risk.

6. Contact Form Submissions

By submitting information through contact or intake forms, the user confirms that the information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge. As noted on the contact form, sensitive financial documents, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive personal or tax information should not be submitted through the website form. Such information should only be exchanged through a secure client portal or other secure channel after an engagement has been established.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm and its owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to the use of this Site, including but not limited to reliance on any information, articles, calculators, or resources provided on the Site. Professional service liabilities are governed exclusively by the signed engagement letter.

8. Professional Standards & Regulatory Compliance

The Firm is licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) and adheres to the Texas Administrative Code, Title 22, Part 22, Rules of Professional Conduct. When engaged for professional services, the Firm adheres to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Code of Professional Conduct, IRS Circular 230, and relevant state board rules. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or override the professional obligations owed to clients under applicable TSBPA rules or the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of the use of this Site will first be addressed through good-faith negotiations. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be revised from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Texas.
